Latics Line Up 2nd Signing Angelo Henriquez

Latics Line Up 2nd Signing Angelo Henriquez

It would appear that following the capture of Roger Espinoza from MLS side Sporting Kansas City, the Latics have lined up their second incoming ahead of the transfer window opening on the 1st of January

Manchester United's young striker Angelo Henriquez, who joined the Old Trafford squad in the summer is set to make a temporary switch to the DW Stadium, joining the Latics on a six month loan spell

At just 18 Henriquez is considered one for the future, but Ferguson wants him to gain some Premier League experience and actually contacted his Latics counterpart Roberto Martinez with the proposition of the Chile international coming to Wigan. With Arouna Kone away on ACN duty with the Ivory Coast in January and February, this could be a God send

The youngster made his full international debut this September and scored in a 3-1 defeat against Serbia, his record at all levels internationally is very impressive, he has 14 in 10 appearances for the under 20's

An obviously excited Roberto Martinez said - 'Angelo is as good a goalscorer as you will find'

'He scored goals at Universidad de Chile and he is going to score goals here [in England].

'I am sure he will be an important player for United.

'We are glad we can work with him and he can use Wigan as Tom Cleverley did and adapt to what is needed in this league.'

This weeks PWU podcast is now available for download, in the studio are Barry, Dan, Greg, Rob, Paul and Gareth. This week there is some confusion over the missing fans? Talk centres on Norwich, Arsenal (5:40) and Everton (19:40).

There is whisky flowing and mince pies being scoffed, there is also a special surprise at the end, the surprise is that it didn`t make the editors cut, but all will be revealed in the next edition which is a Christmas Special...ooooh
