Latics travel to the South coast to face Bournemouth at Dean Court in an intriguing FA cup 3rd round replay following the 1-1 draw at the DW Stadium
In the build up to the game both bosses have been speaking to the media, let's take a look at what the have had to say:
Latics boss Roberto Martinez
'The replay gives us another chance to see the progression of the young players at the club and hand an opportunity to players who need minutes on the pitch.
'We all know Bournemouth have real momentum at the moment and good quality within the team, and playing at home will bring that out of them even more.
'But we're looking forward to the test, and it will be an exciting game in which we see other members of the group meet the demands of this time of season.'
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe
'As a young manager, Roberto Martinez was and still is a source of inspiration to me. When we were at Burnley we were just around the corner so I've some dealings with him.
'He's done a great job at Wigan and he laid the foundations at Swansea.
'Wherever he goes, he builds those foundations. He looks long-term at the future of the football club which you have a duty to do as a manager but not many actually follow that through.
'He's someone I have immense respect for and it's good to come up against him, although the replay is potentially more difficult than the first game for us.'
