Lawro Predicts - Macclesfield v Latics

Mark Lawrenson cast's his beady eye over this weekends FA cup 4th round fixtures, let's take a look at how he sees the Latics coping with a trip to Macclesfield:

Macclesfield v Wigan

Wigan have got a poor record against lower division clubs in the FA Cup - they squeezed past Bournemouth in a replay in round three, and they have lost to two League Two sides in the past three years, Swindon and Notts County.

But I think the Latics will avoid an upset here because they will be desperate for a win after such a bad run in the Premier League.

And the last thing Roberto Martinez needs on top of his problems in the league is to lose to a non-league side in the Cup.

Martinez needs to win a game so why put more pressure on yourself by fielding a weakened team? He has got a great relationship with his chairman Dave Whelan but he is not bullet-proof.

Lawro's prediction: 0-2
