Paul Scharner Back To The Latics?

Former Latics man Paul Scharner could be in line for an unlikely return to the club, according to reports coming from Germany

Scharner left for West Brom in 2010 and has since made his way to the Bundesliga and he's currently playing for Hamburg, but the word on the street in Germany is that Herr Scharner is set for a loan move to the Latics until the end of the season

The Schanernator is actually quoted as saying 'Ich will mit Wigan wieder erfolgreich gegen den Abstieg kämpfen und danach nach Hamburg zurückkehren', which to me and you translates as: 'I want to successfully fight against relegation with Wigan and then return to Hamburg'

More Scharner madness? We'll find out shortly

The latest edition of the PWU Wigan Athletic podcast is now available for download and it features a preview of tonight's game.

This week in the studio are Dan, Rob, Greg, Mick and Gareth who discuss in great detail the failings against Sunderland (00:00), bad goals conceded and lack of spark. The cup game at Macclesfield (22:00) is also previewed, what a great tie this is, the magic of the FA cup is talked about, slight disagreement amongst the team here.

There is also a preview of Tuesday nights Premier League game away at Stoke (40:00)
