Previous Meetings - West Ham v Latics

Latics travel down to London on Saturday to face West Ham, hoping to get back on track for Premier League survival following last night's defeat to a late Tevez goal at Man City

History of previous meetings between the Latics and the Hammers points to their being a winning outcome for one side or the other, since the first meeting between the two clubs, an FA cup 3rd round tie back in 1984 which West Ham won courtesy of a controversial penalty, draws have been very much at a premium

Latics and West Ham have met 20 times in all competitions

Latics 8 wins, West Ham 10, draws 2

Of the ten games played at Upton Park West Ham have won five, there has been just the one draw, but surprisingly the Latics have won four, a 40% win ratio at an away ground is something of a good omen

Last Six Meetings

27 Oct 2012 - Premier League - Latics 2 West Ham 1
25 Sep 2012 - Capital One Cup - West Ham 1 Latics 4
15 May 2011 - Premier League - Latics 3 West Ham 2
27 Nov 2010 - Premier League - West Ham 3 Latics 1
24 Apr 2010 - Premier League - West Ham 3 Latics 2
12 Sep 2009 - Premier League - Latics 1 West Ham 0

The most famous meeting between the two clubs though just has to be the 3-2 Latics win at the DW Stadium back in May 2011, possibly one of the greatest ever Premier League games. Latics were two nil down at half time, but an insane second half saw the game swing our way with goals from Charles N'Zogbia, Connor Sammon and then a last gasp winner from N'Zogbia, four minutes into stoppage time, a breath taking game of football

difficult one for me this worbo! I like this site and the fine editor, but we are down in the dirt with you guys, so.....! But then, saying 'come on West Ham' isn't really what I would like to be saying either!
The Fear
