Wigan International Update

Wigan International Update

Wigan had twelve players called up for this weekends fixtures, but due to a muscle strain Svetoslav Todorov has pulled out of the Bulgaria squad and will not be facing Holland and Luxembourg.

Meanwhile, Kevin Kilbane has hit out at claims that Ireland coach Steve Staunton has lost the dressing room, stating that the players are all behind the inexperienced Staunton.

'Of course it's been hard, and you have to feel for him in that respect.'

'But without a doubt there's a belief in his methods. Everybody believes in him.'

'He might have come in with a lack of management experience. But he has good staff behind him, a lot of people around him he knows can help him get the best out of the players.'

Scotland winger Gary Teale believes that if he and his team mates stick to their own game they can surprise the French.

the Scots have won both their opening Euro 2008 qualifiers, but face their biggest challenge yet in Thierry Henrys France.

'The boys are in an upbeat mood.

'We're going into the game thinking we can win it, especially being at home with the atmosphere and the crowd behind us.

'Everybody has their reputations but we're all good players as well.

'We have to try to prove we should be on the same pitch.'
