'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Early Team News & Injury Update - Watford v Latics

Latics head into the game with Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday without Shaun Maloney and Grant Holt who are both still unavailable due to recent injuries, long term absentees Ali Al Habsi, Gary Caldwell and Ivan Ramis are still way off returning

Callum McManaman limped off last Sundays home win against Ipswich but should be fine for tomorrow, Marc-Antoine Fortune is also likely to return having missed out with a tweaked hamstring last weekend

Speaking about the injury situation Latics boss Owen Coyle said - 'Shaun Maloney will see a specialist before the game to get to the bottom of the back injury he sustained on international duty, and it means he won't make the game.

'Grant Holt was desperate to be back for this one, but it's come too soon for him and I don't think he'll be able to make it either, but his recovery has been fantastic.

'In an ideal world we would have everyone fit and available, but football doesn't work that way so we don't moan about things, we just get on with it, work hard and make sure when players are available again that they've got to work hard to get back in the team.'

Latics from - Carson, Barnett, Perch, Boyce, Beausejour, McCann, Shotton, Rogne, Watson, McArthur, McManaman, Espinoza, McClean, Powell, Fortune, Nicholls, Dicko, Crainey, Gomez

Tommie Hoban and Nyron Nosworthy are definitely missing
