Meet The Ref - Leeds v Latics - Graham Scott

Oxfordshire whistle blower Graham Scott will be in charge of our visit to Elland Road tomorrow (Wednesday) evening when we face Leeds United

This will be the Abingdon-based referees second Latics game this season, he was the man in the middle for our visit to Bournemouth back in August, sending Callum McManaman off, booking Jean Beausejour and James McClean as well as awarding Bournemouth a controversial penalty, which Scott Carson saved, we still lost the game 1-0 though

Scott made the news earlier this year (14th January) whilst refereeing the AFC Wimbledon v Port Vale game, one Dons fan, a 78 year old man, was so incensed with the performance of Graham Scott that he threw a banana at him, which missed by a considerable distance and posed no physical threat, thought I'd mention that, the 78 year old was subsequently identified by CCTV footage and arrested, in his defence the oldest hooligan in England said - 'I shook my supper (banana) at him and it just slipped out of my hand'...hmm a likely story

Scott was appointed to the National List of referees in 2008, he says that he took up refereeing '...once my playing days were over, it seemed the natural thing to do'
