Uwe Rosler Makes His First Signing

It would appear that Uwe Rosler has made his first signing as Latics boss by tying down 19 year old Australian Patrick Antelmi, who has been on trail at the club for the past few weeks, to an 18 month contract

The young striker made an impression in the games he featured in as a trialist, especially against Preston North End where he scored two goals inside the first ten minutes, and against Blackburn Rovers where again he found the back of the net

Antelmi came over to England at 15 and signed for Portsmouth before joining Leeds United back in January this year, he attracted interest from Blackburn, Wolves and Charlton Athletic

Patrick Antelmi follows in the footsteps of Aussies John Filan and Josip Skoko who have also played for the Latics
