What The Bosses Say - Latics v AFC Bournemouth

Wigan Athletic face AFC Bournemouth at the DW Stadium tomorrow (Saturday) in a Championship game that both clubs will be hoping to win, the Latics are just three points off the play-off spots, whilst Bournemouth would go level on points with the Latics if they could manage the win.

In the build up to the game both managers have been speaking to the media, let's take a look at what they have had to say:

Latics boss Uwe Rosler - 'Bournemouth's team is very established; they have played with one another for over a year and a half now under Eddie Howe.

'They are a good footballing side who are dangerous on the counter-attack and get plenty of bodies behind the ball in defence, so we can't afford to take them lightly.

'But I've always said that the game is dependent upon and what we do with the quality of players we have.

'The main focus of our play will to be attacking as always and have plenty of hunger and desire in our play. But we can`t leave ourselves as open at the back as we did against MK Dons last weekend.'

'It's been good to have a full week of preparation for the first time since I arrived, and due to the amount of games we've played over the past month, recovery has been a big part of the last six days.

'As a group we are well prepared as a result; we still have some injuries but we're getting to a position where we will have more players to select from and hopefully we`ll be bringing in some new additions over the coming weeks.'

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe - 'They have been excellent and their recent run of results have been very impressive'

'Uwe is very organised and has certainly motivated the squad. They look like they are an improved outfit.

'They have kept together the majority of the FA Cup-winning team and have one of the strongest squads in the league. They are now getting the results to match so it will definitely be a difficult test for us.

'Our recent form has been good and we had a really impressive performance against Brighton. But for the late goal, it would have been a great day.

'We will be looking to repeat the level of performance we displayed over the festive period because we are in good form.'
