One In One Out At The Latics?

One in one out for the Latics? Grant Holt is currently at Villa Park having a medical and discussing his move whilst Nicky Maynard is at the Latics doing the same at this end

Whatever your thoughts on Grant Holt it is a shame that it didn't work out, most people were excited with his capture this summer, he scored on his league debut but then that was basically it

Speaking about Holt's move to Villa, Latics boss Uwe Rosler said - 'It is a great opportunity for Grant to work under his previous manager who got the best out of him'

'We will see how he does at Villa and then we will see where we are in the summer.'

As for Maynard, my thoughts are cast back to Jason Roberts, who like Maynard snubbed a move to Wigan only to sign at a later date, what a signing he proved to be, here's hoping that the former Crewe man can emulate the great Jason Roberts
