Early Team News - Latics v Charlton

Latics main concern as they head into the weekend Championship clash with Charlton is Nick Powell, the 19 year old striker had to leave the game against Middlesbrough on Tuesday night after 85 minutes due to a hamstring problem.

Rösler said on Powell - 'Nick Powell is 50-50.

'He's not as bad as we thought so there's a chance that he might play, especially with that fact that we have no midweek game and he'll be able to regenerate his body.'

The Latics boss also confirmed that loan signing Josh McEachran will be on the bench for the game now that his fitness levels have improved - 'Josh has come through his programme very well and he has proved on the training ground that he's ready to be involved.

'Josh will be on the bench tomorrow and it's great to have him available now because he is such a talented player.'

Some of the squad may need to have late fitness tests before Rösler names his starting eleven, but overall the boss is quite happy with how things have progressed since Tuesday, he said - 'One or two players will have fitness tests ahead of the game'

'We're quite happy with how things are looking ahead of the match.'

Still missing though are long term absentees Shaun Maloney, Gary Caldwell and Scott Carson, no word on either Thomas Rogne or Callum McManaman, nor whether new loan signing Martyn Waghorn was signed before the noon deadline allowing him to be registered in time to be added to the squad.

Latics possible - Al Habsi, Perch, Boyce, Barnett, Beausejour, Watson, McArthur, Espinoza, McClean, Maynard, Fortune

Chris Powell and Charlton have been busy this week in the transfer market, outgoings have included goalkeeper Ben Alnwick, midfield man Dale Stephens and top scorer Yann Kermogrant, whilst on the incomings new signings Loic Nego and Reza Ghoochannejhad will be added to their squad and Rhoys Wiggins is back from a ban and a freshly signed extension to his contract.

Lawrie Wilson is suspended following his red card in the 3-0 midweek defeat at Doncaster, Ben Hamer, Chris Solly and Leon Cort are out injured.

Charlton from - Thuram-Ulien, Lennon, Dervite, Morrison, Evina, Wood, Ajdarevic, Jackson, Cousins, Church, Harriott, Pigott, Sordell, Green, Nego, Ghoochannejhad
