Scharner backs Heskeys England claim

Heskey hasn't played for England since making a substitute appearance against France back in Euro 2004.

Despite not being in any squads since then, Paul Scharner thinks Heskeys excellent performance on Satuday could catapult him back into the England Reckoning.

'Emile is unplayable on that form,' said the Austria international. 'He is big and strong and can keep the ball. Defenders find it virtually impossible to get it off him.'

'I played against him last season when he was at Birmingham and it was one of the most difficult games I had all season.'

'I think he would be worth a place in the England squad. When he is performing like that, anything is possible for him.'
