Latics Show Sheff Weds How To Price Tickets

Latics Show Sheff Weds How To Price Tickets

When the Latics travelled to play Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship earlier this season, the Owls announced a special deal for supporters, problem was it only concerned home supporters, they got a match ticket for just £10 whilst it was £28 for away supporters! Considering the fixture was scheduled for seven days before Christmas not a very charitable gesture towards the Wigan Athletic support from Wednesday.

Ticket prices have just been announced for the return game at the DW Stadium, adult ticket prices £15 for BOTH home and away supporters, now I am not normally a bitter man, but I really do think that we should have charged them our maximum of £25 and kept a special for home fans just to let them know how it felt.

Problem is we are a top club where looking after supporters, both home and away are concerned, pity that Sheffield Wednesday just believe they are a top club but don't do anything to show it

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
