Which Would You Choose - FA Cup Win Or Promotion?

Latics continue with their defence of the FA cup on Sunday with a visit to the Etihad Stadium, we are in the quarter finals of this wonderful competition for only the third time in our history, we have a tough prospect ahead to continue further, but we also had a tough prospect last May to win it.

That day in May will be the stand out life time memory for many Latics fans, a truly fantastic occasion, the stuff that legends are made of, a once in a life time occurrence?

Not the winning of the cup, by reaching the quarter finals as a Championship club we have shown that we have the capability to progress far in the competition, but would the euphoria that we felt last May ever be repeated even if we do win it again? I am not sure it would be as intense and this brings me to my question if, given the choice, would you choose a cup final win over promotion?

Neither are guaranteed, far from it, both rest firmly in the laps of the Gods, but from a personal point of view it would be interesting to see which way the Latics fans would go if they could just opt for one, we have achieved both in the past so either wouldn't be a new experience and they both carry rewards and accolades, so which one will it be, FA cup winners or promotion to the Premier League?

Since she came in we've suffered 12 relegations and wasted £800m parachute payments on dross. I've met her once and she's very nice but we can't be sentimental about these decisions.
