12th Man - In Rösler We Trust

This weeks Wigan Evening Post 12th Man feature has one contribution from Vital Latics:

In Rösler We Trust

We were served up an Easter treat on Good Friday, but left with egg on our face come Easter Monday, two very different performances saw Reading ripped apart and then allowed Burnley to dictate the game three days later.

With our playoff place all but guaranteed I can understand Uwe Rösler rotating the squad, I may not like it, as I believe that we should take each game as it comes, but then again I am not the manager of a professional football club and I let my heart rule my head where the Latics are concerned.

When Rösler took control of the club we were going nowhere, and fast, on a run of defeats, the players looked unfit, confused with the tactics and we were sliding down the table, not only has Rösler steadied the ship, he has turned it around and set us on course for the Premier League.

We play a good brand of football, we look a team in the true sense of the word, everyone plays for each other, we also look nailed on to finish the season in fifth spot in the league, five months ago we were looking over our shoulder, hoping that we would keep our heads above water and not get dragged into the scrap at the bottom, Rösler has achieved this alongside guiding the club to the FA Cup semi-final beating three Premier League clubs along the way.

Yeah I think Rösler knows best, he has rotated all along, he has managed the squad superbly, we have always turned up when it matters and this gives hope for the next month. I feel that I can predict with confidence that we will beat Blackpool on Saturday, a return to the starting eleven for Waghorn and Espinoza, and also that when we face QPR in early May we won't be bleating about squad rotation.

Uwe Rösler sees the big picture, he knows his squad and he knows his football, whatever the end of the season brings, for the playoffs are a lottery, with the Roz in charge the future is bright and exciting.

We've had a good season so far, my heart tells me it's going to become a great one before its finished.
