Fulham Reaction

'It was similar to last year where we dominated the game for long periods. I was a bit edgy at half time and I gave them a bit of a rollicking because I thought that our play was very, very good.

'But we have to be more ruthless in front of goal. For all the good play we had, we didn't really create too many chances. We did wonder if we were ever going to see a goal, and this is a hard place to come as they have a good home record.

'I don't think Denny has ever missed a penalty before, and it would have been nice to see him score his first Wigan goal. He has had a bit of a stuttering start here, but he is a quality player. It's unfortunate that he missed.'

'When you buy so many new players its going to take time for them to gel, but it is going to be a tough season. I've got confidence in all the players that we will get better. But to get six points from two games is a major boost.'

Good win for you guys and away from home at a ground that is not easy for a travelling team to win at.

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
