One Year Ago Today - The Day We Won The Cup

Was it really one year ago today, I still get the shivers when thinking about that day, it feels as fresh as just a fortnight ago though so much has happened since.

From travelling down on the coach, soaking up the atmosphere around Wembley Way, to Abide With Me and Boycey walking out carrying little Joe Kendrick, the pre game memories are etched permanently in my brain, but those moments did little to prepare me for what was going to come next.

Ben Watson's 90th minute goal gave me the most exhilarating feeling of my life, we won the FA cup, Wigan Athletic, the Latics, the team I watched as a youngster competing against the big boys of Halifax Town and Port Vale, the journey that I'd travelled with my team was just unfathomable, Wigan Athletic FA cup winners 2013, I still get a spine tingle as I write those words.

One year ago this very day, no one can ever take that away from us, 11th May 2013, the best day of my life.

Check out this weeks Latics podcast, there are three exclusives with Ali Al Habsi, Uwe Rösler and Jordi Gomez giving us their thoughts ahead of teh QPR game, Ali also comments that he is enjoying the rivalry, Uwe says that preparations are underway for next season taking in to account both possible scenarios and Jordi lets us know where he is up to with his new contract.

Contents: Welcome from a special guest, Ballet Al Habsi!
