A great event is coming to Wigan next week, a must for all football fans:

A FASCINATING TALK FOR FOOTIE FANS!

From Lytham St Annes to Sao Paulo Brazil: how football became the world game by Tony Collins.

World Cup fever has arrived so join in the celebrations and find out more about the history of the FIFA World Cup. How has the football World Cup competition grown from 13 countries in 1930 to nearly 200 teams today? Why was England so late to join the party? Find out the real story behind the drama in this fascinating talk.

They say you learn something new everyday, this talk sounds really interesting so think it could be my lesson for the day. Tea/coffee included, can't say fairer than that for 2.50!
