TSV Havelse 1 Latics 3 - A Good Workout

TSV Havelse 1 Latics 3 - A Good Workout

Latics German side TSV Havelse 3-1 this afternoon as Uwe Rösler's side got their preseason friendlies underway.

The home side took the lead on five minutes when teenage striker Hilal El-Helwe hit a stunning free kick that flew past Scott Carson, but the Latics were soon level, Ryan Jennings finished off a flowing move on 14 minutes, the Wigan born former youth player making a scoring debut on his first, first team start.

Marc-Antoine Fortune put the Latics in front on 32 minutes when Rob Kiernan flicked on from a corner, Fortune stabbing home from close range.

Wholesale changes at half-time saw Aaron Taylor-Sinclair make his debut and the former Partick man came close to scoring on two occasions, but found the post instead both times.

James McClean wrapped up the goals on 72 minutes with what the Latics commentator described as a rocket, the final score TSV Havelse 1 Latics 3, a good workout as the preseason get underway.

Latics - Carson (Nicholls 46), Perch (Boyce 46), Rogne (Ramis 46), Wilson (Barnett 46), Taylor (Tavernier 46), Chow, Kiernan (Taylor-Sinclair 46), Fyvie (Caldwell 75), Waghorn (McClean 55), Fortune (McManaman 46), Jennings (Riera 55)
