Latics Reject Celtic Bid For Callum McManaman

It would appear that the rumour surrounding an approach from Scottish Premier League side Celtic for Latics Callum McManaman was in fact true.

The Wigan Evening Post are reporting that Uwe Rösler says that McManaman is in for 'a big season' and that the approach has been rejected out of hand.

Great news for the fans, McManaman, fully fit, will terrorise Championship defences this season and without doubt he will be one of our main weapons as we make an assault on the top two places in the division.

Good news that he is staying put

Very glad to hear it but won't completely relax until the transfer window is well and truly closed.

There is no doubt that if Celtic reallly want him, that's where he will end up. But i suspect we are only testing the waters with a small offer. To be fair, he has the potential to become a good player if he gets to go to a big club like Celtic, and let's be honest, Wigan, or Celtic? In that race Wigan comes in third!

Times have changed Tim! I think Celtic come third in that race!

You prove nothing going to Celtic. Weaker league. Only thing Celtic offer is getting pouted in the champions league.
