Are We Ready For Deadline Day?

Are we all ready for the transfer deadline day merry-go-round? There will be Sky Sports reporters the length and breadth of the UK at training grounds and club HQ's ready to inform us all of next big signing.

It could/should be quite an exciting day as far as the Latics are concerned, at least two new signings being confirmed, Adam Forshaw, so long as that sell on clause Brentford owe Everton get's sorted out, and Andy Delort set to be confirmed after we met his €2 million buyout clause from French club Tours FC...all these clause's.

There is also a rumoured third incoming, he had a medical with us on Tuesday, no names but he is currently contracted to Ipswich Town, maybe a replacement for an outgoing player? Talking of which James McArthur to Burnley is rated as a distinct possibility, more likely than James McArthur to Crystal Palace I would have thought. Hopefully he'll stay put though, big player for us.

There could be movement from elsewhere in our squad, Ivan Ramis was reportedly on the verge of joining Deportivo La Coruna, but they can't afford him, Scott Carson is being linked with a move to Chelsea if Petr Cech leaves, highly unlikely I know, but wouldn't be too surprised to see either Ali Al Habsi or Lee Nicholls move out on loan.

If I was Uwe Rösler I'd hide Callum McManaman in the depths of the DW Stadium until the window shuts, the lad's been on fire so far this season and he must have caught the eye of Premier League scouts, let's hope that there is no 11th hour moves for our Macca.

So get your TV's and tablets at the ready, Jim White is warming up his larynx and we're about to hit the deadline day merry-go-round, see you all on the other side.
