James McArthur Latics Man Of The Match v Brum

James McArthur Latics Man Of The Match v Brum

James McArthur has fittingly been voted the Vital Latics man of the match for his performance in Saturday's four nil destruction of Birmingham City, ironically McArthur's last game for the club.

The Scotland international played his usual committed game, he dominated the centre of midfield, especially in the first half when he was outstanding, as the game wore on McArthur started to get forward more and looked desperate to score what would have been a goodbye goal, unfortunately and despite his team mates trying to set him up on numerous occasions, the goal eluded him in what was otherwise a very good performance.

Great player that will be sadly missed down at the DW Stadium.

For the record the voting was:

James McArthur - 53%
Callum McManaman - 35%
Scott Carson - 6%

James McArthur - Top Man

Top man but that man of the match result was most probably due to people hoping he'd see it and stay! He played well but McManaman was again on a different level to everybody else on the pitch.
