'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Skoko finally Settled at Wigan

The tricky midfielder admits his focus was more on his commitments to Australia's World CUp bid. But, in only his second start of the season, Skoko put in a fantastic display and earned glowing praise from his manager Paul Jewell.

He told Sky Sports: 'My chances have been few and far between, but i'm just happy i came through without getting injured for a change, especially after what happened against Manchester City.'

Skoko also believes he is benefittiing fomr not having to worry about Australia compared to last season: 'Last season i suffered with my commitments to Australia. I was away a lot at the start of the season.'

'I'm more comfortable and i've settled in, and now i am gettting a go in the team as well, things are coming together.
