Ipswich sign Wright.

Wright follows Mike Pollit out of the Wigan Athletic door. Pollit left earlier today on a months loan deal while Wright's deal is a permenant arrangement.

David Wright has signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Portman road outfit. Paul Jewell feels it is a sensible deal for both Wigan and David.

Jewell was keen to sell as Wright was out of contract at the end of the season and wanted to recoup some funds while he could.
