Jewell conceeds

Wigan manager Paul Jewell admited his Wigan side are in a relegation battle after their 4-0 demolition at the hands of Chelsea

Strikes from Lampard, Robben, Drogba and an unfortunate own goal from Wigan keeper Chris Kirkland were more than enough to see of Wigan and give Chelsea the three points at Stamford Bridge.

Wigan's sixth successive loss in The Premiership is sure to leave Wigan looking nervously over their shoulders.

Jewell was unhappy with the manner of Wigan's defending feeling the first three goals were all 'avoidable.'
