Jakob Haugaard Out For Season With Shoulder Injury

Jakob Haugaard Out For Season With Shoulder Injury

Much maligned goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard has picked up a shoulder injury and returned to parent club Stoke City.

The news that Haugaard won't be in the nets on Saturday for the Latics has been greeted with disbelief by both Blackburn Rovers and Nottingham Forest who were counting on the big shotstopper to drop a clanger or two.

Matt Gilks will be back for the 'tics and his presence will add a bit more certainty to the back line ahead of the vital clash against Cardiff City.

Whatever the reason behind Haugaard's constant inclusion in the starting eleven at the Latics when fit is now irrelevant with him out for the season.
