Burn In Team Of The Week (10/10/17)

Burn In Team Of The Week (10/10/17)

Wigan Athletic are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Dan Burn in the two one victory over Scunthorpe United at the weekend at Glanford Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Burn was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Despite spending much of the game with 10 men, Wigan still managed to come away from Scunthorpe United with maximum points, and Burn played a crucial part at both ends. After making a fantastic goal-line clearance in the first half, the defender popped up at the other end to fire home the first goal and set the Latics on their way.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Burn for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Dave Richards (Crewe Alexandra), Dan Potts (Luton Town), Dan Burn (Wigan Athletic), Richard Wood (Rotherham United), Pierce Sweeney (Exeter City), Ebere Eze (Wycombe Wanderers), Jake Reeves (Bradford City), Sean Murray (Colchester United), Ben Whiteman (Doncaster Rovers), James Henry (Oxford United), Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers).

Manager - Darrell Clarke (Bristol Rovers).
