Max has got the Power

Max has got the Power

Wigan Athletic central midfielder Max Power has been selected for the EFL Team of the Week.

Power was one of the many standout performers for Latics during their 3-1 away victory at Rotherham United.

In the absence of injured talisman Nick Powell, Power starred in the number 10 role behind lone striker Will Grigg.

It was the second game in a row that the former Tranmere Rovers man played in this position for manager Paul Cook, and he will be hoping to keep his place in the team for Friday's FA Cup second round trip to AFC Fylde.
