Wigan held to a draw at Watford

17th in the Premiership is never a healthy position but playing against a team near you in the relegation zone is a must-win situation.

Wigan started off poorly and within 20 minutes of the game, Latics suffered a huge blow as two-footed tackle from Fitz Hall resulted in a Red Card with Latics playing the rest of the game with 10 men.

Watford took their one man advantage opportunity as Darius Henderson put one in the net from close range just minutes after the sending off.

However the game carried on and just before half time, Latics equalised with Caleb Folan poking home a goal.

In the second half Wigan managed to hold on to secure a well deserved point, battling on despite having 10 men.

Watford had belief of survival in the Premiership after beating West Ham but Wigan have put a dent in their survival bid. The Latics however are 6 points safe from relegation as we go into the weekend facing Newcastle at Home.

Do you think you'll avoid the drop with those below so much worse, or are you twitchy? Did so well last year, what has happened this season?

After beating Newcastle today I doubt it so much although before the game I bet they were.Let's hope Wigan and Charlton keep winning just to make 100% sure West Sham go down.
