Accrington Issue Hands Off Warning

Accrington Stanley Chairman Eric Whalley has told their official site that he will issue a hands off warning to any clubs eyeing up their key players as they push for promotion from the Conference Leage.

He said: 'A number of clubs have made enquiries - Rotherham were very impressed with one or two players'

On Jewell:

'Wigan boss Paul Jewell has spoken to John Coleman*, but there is so much to play for this year.'

Although money always talks, especially for the lower league clubs:

'It would take a significant offer before we would even consider allowing one of our key players to leave.'

(* John Coleman - Accrington manager.)
