Arsenal Fans Stay Away

Arsenal Fans Stay Away

There will be fewer than one thousand Arsenal fans at the JJB Stadium for tonight's Carling Cup semi-final 1st leg tie with Wigan Athletic. This is a paltry amount for what is supposed to be be a 'BIG' club. If the Latics only took a thousand fans to a semi-final match there would be an outcry. You can be sure that there will be more than a thousand Latics fans at Highbury for the second leg.

There will be TEN times as many Latics fans than Arsenal fans in the ground, despite the facts that this is the fifth home game in three weeks, the fixture is being shown live on Sky Sports and nothing will actually be decided on the night.

Erm....... Correct me if I'm wrong but we have a ticket allocation of 4,400 and we take 1000 fans than nearly a quarter of tickets sold, there will be 8000 wigan fans from a possible 21,000 thats just over a third. Considering we have to travel like 300 miles more thats not bad, plus this is your first ever major semi and we are playing our youth team. Who Pathetic now?
