Injury Crisis Deepens

The Latics’ injury crisis is even worse following the 1-0 win over Arsenal in the Carling Cup semi-final 1st leg last night.

David Connolly has a recurrence of the hamstring problem that kept him out for six weeks earlier in the season and Lee McCulloch has a groin strain which makes him doubtful for the Premiership match against West Brom on Sunday. I was surprised to even see McCulloch start last night because he looked to be having problems in the closing stages of the Leeds United match.

Jason Roberts is the only fit striker available now, and Paul Jewell only has thirteen fit outfield players ahead of another punishing run of four games in ten days.

Bring your boots on Sunday and you might get a game.
