'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wigan Town is Buzzing

Well we`ve arrived, today, Saturday 28th April 2007, the most crucial game of the season and the sun is shinning.

The last time there was so much expectation for one game was the Reading match of May 2005, that day we pulled it off.

Now we face an even more crucial game, a game, that having made the Promised Land, our very survival there depends upon.

The public of Wigan have got behind the team this week, snapping up all the tickets available, and inundating the club with good luck messages.

There will be a sell out this afternoon at the JJB, a cracking atmosphere, lets hope that by 4-50 this afternoon that the people of Wigan can make it a carnival atmosphere.

If we win this game, we will not be relegated, forget the maths, this is the game, our opponents have too tough encounters to come, the three points will see us home.

We have our talisman and big game player, Lee McCulloch, back after injury.

He may not be 100% fit, but he plays with his heart for our club, his very presence in the side seems to lift those around him.

Our very own enigma, Emile Heskey, will hopefully continue his good run in front of goal.

Arie DeZeeuw, captain fantastic, today is the day for him to step forward and lead by example.

The JJB, this afternoon, is hosting a cup final, make no mistake, but there is no trophy for the winners, just the glittering prize of Premiership football for another year and the wealth that it brings.

Let`s hope for a similar result to the Reading game of 2005, and Wigan town will buzz tonight.
