Sunday, Bloody Sunday Part 2

Last week, after the Liverpool game, I was feeling down.

I had an Alan Partridge moment, Sunday, bloody Sunday, read the papers, cut the grass, clean the car, you get the gist.

Anything to take my mind off the performance at Anfield, yet, content in knowing that this Sunday was going to be much happier.

How wrong can one man be?

I can`t be arsed to cut the grass etc.

I can`t be arsed to get the wife out of bed.

I can`t be arsed to do anything, except pore out my thoughts here.

My team, my true love, my passion, they have let me down.

I feel cheated, betrayed and a little bit sick in my stomach.

I don`t expect us to be the best footballing side in the world, the most exciting team that everyone is raving about.

What I do expect, for my £400 a year season ticket, is commitment, effort and desire.

I sat silent all night last night, the missus was happy with that, she watched Gems T.V.

I was like a love sick teenager who had just found out his girlfriend was seeing someone else.

Today, Sunday, bloody Sunday, I feel much worse.

Are we coming to the end of our dream, are we about to awaken into the reality of free fall back through the divisions from whence we came?

We have next week to get it right, I hold no thoughts that we will.

Middlesbrough at home should be three points and safety, but honestly, can any of you see us pulling it off?

We are a team lacking a soul, we play clueless football and we can`t defend.

I have seen my team get relegated once before, a long time ago, and it was not nice.

That team had no soul, no ideas and they went into free fall.

I hope I am wrong, I hope next Sunday will be a great Sunday, a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend, must of all I hope it won`t be Sunday, bloody Sunday, part 3
