Bitter Sweet Symphony

Bitter Sweet Symphony

The sweetness of avoiding relegation on the last day of the season still leaves a bitter taste with what`s happened over the Tevez affair.

The influence that this little South American footballer has had on West Hams season is unquestionable.

Without him in their team they would have been relegated, simple, he was a one man show for the last few games.

Sheffield United will have the sympathy of must Wigan supporters, like us they are a family club and not one of the so called big boys.

Back to Tevez, points or fine I for one don`t know which should have been the right course of action, but I believe that Tevez should not have been allowed to play on after the hearing.

How could he?

He was not a West Ham player, he is owned by others, he`s not even on loan.

Yet the Premier League sanctioned his inclusion in the games against Wigan, Bolton, Everton and Manchester United, where he was instrumental in gaining West Ham victories in all four games.

My heart bleeds for Sheffield United, Neil Warnock and all their staff and players, because without Tevez playing for West Ham then they and not the Blades would be relegated this evening.

Someone somewhere lost their bottle over this one, maybe if Tevez had been refused inclusion in West Ham games after the hearing, then the Premier League would have had to deduct all the points that they had earned prior with him in the side.

All I can say is good luck to Sheffield United next season.

I hope they bounce straight back up, and I wonder, when Tevez leaves for pastures new this summer, who will get the transfer fee, I know it wont be West Ham.
