Wigan Transfer Rumours

Sources close to the club suggest that Mario Melchiot will be joining the Latics.

The former Birmingham and Chelsea defender would be available on a free from French club Rennes with whom he signed a one year contract last summer, Melchiot`s been an ever present for Rennes this season.

Anatoliy Tymoschuk is another player currently being linked to the club with a £6 million move to the JJB in the offing.

The Ukrainian international is currently playing for St.Petersburg following a spell at Shakhtar Donetsk

Tymoschuk is a holding midfielder and was previously linked with moves to Manchester United and Arsenal

Meanwhile it is expected that the club will announce this week the permanent signing of Antonio Valencia on a four year deal.

It is believed that Josip Skoko will not now be offered a new deal at the club.
