Wigan Set To Sign Gunner

Latics manager Chris Hutchings is ready to swoop on the United Emirates Stadium to sign young Irish defender Joe O'Cearuill reports the Wigan Observer

O'Cearuill made his international debut for the Republic of Ireland against Ecuador and played his second game against Bolivia last weekend.

Joe spent part of last season at Brighton and Hove Albion for whom he signed on month`s loan in January 2007.

He made 8 league appearances without scoring before returning to Arsenal.
