Wigan - Latics Take The Brunt

Wigan - Latics Take The Brunt

Sheffield Wednesday youngster Chris Brunt is a £2 million target for Chris Hutchings according to the Sunday People.

The Northern Ireland International is entering the last year of his current contract at Hillsborough.

Brunt, 22, has 10 international caps and joined Sheffield Wednesday from Middlesbrough in 2004.

The left sided midfielder was Wednesdays top scorer with 7 goals during their first season back in the Championship in season 2055/06.

Belfast born Chris started his career at Middlesbrough but didn`t make any appearances for the Teeside club before joining Sheffield Wednesday initially on loan.

Brunt is a free-kick specialist and can strike the ball with either foot; he has made 45 appearances for the Owls and scored 11 goals.

Chris Brunt is a promising young player and if reports are anything to go by, he would make an excellent addition to the Latics squad.

you will never get Chris Brunt. 2m...he's worth double that, no kidding. And he wouldn't go anyway, cos hes got some loyalty. Middlesborough released him, and Sheffield Wednesdau have made his career. Top player. Will be flaunting his stuff in the premiership in 2008-2009 with Sheffield Wednesday FC.
