Valencia To stay At Wigan

Valencia To stay At Wigan

Luis Antonio Valencia is set to stay at the Latics for at least one more year.

Despite being offered a two year permanent deal the Ecuadorian winger wants to keep his options open and remain on loan from Spanish club Villareal.

The gifted South American made 22 Premier league appearances last season scoring once.

Valencia`s season was interrupted by injuries and suspensions but at 21 there is still plenty to come from the Michael Jackson look alike.

Will Valencia have a bigger impact next season?

We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
