Wigan set to name new Assistant

Chris Hutchings is set to name Martin Hunter as his new assistant manager this week.

Hunter is currently the first team coach at Championship side Norwich City.

Previously he worked at the FA for past 13 years, working his way up from a regional director of coaching to manager of the under 19`s.

Before that he was assistant manager at Bradford (as Hutch`s assistant) and Stoke.

Whilst with the England Youth Team, he coached the likes of Joe Cole, Theo Walcott and Michael Carrick

Martin Hunter is an experienced and well respected coach, but will he be the right choice to help Hutchings take us to the next level

Remember him from his time with the England Youth set up.

It would of been nice to get someone in that you were familiar with, but sometimes the unknowns can shock you. You never know, they have to achieve something great to gain the familiarity and he may just do that with you guys

its a miracle that you ever got into the premiership and i hope you stay there. for clubs with lesser resources to get into the PL is good for the game in this country, but to stay in the PL will be an even bigger miracle and hutch is not the man to keep you there. i estimate he will be sacked by the new year.
