Wigan set to sign Blackburn`s Savage

According to the News of the World the Latics are back in for Robbie Savage, who is also a target for Sheffield United.

The former Wales international was a player that Paul Jewell chased last summer and had a 3 million bid knocked back by the Rovers.

Savage would had some much needed steel to the Latics midfield and could be a great signing for the club if Hutchings was to pull this one off

Savage would be a good signing for us, a bit of strength for the midfield, plus from his point of view we are closer to his mam's and he gets his hair cut in Wigan

He would be a great signing for Wigan (and this is not just being viewed through the Rovers tinted specs!) as he would give you much needed battling qualities, which I think you will certainly need next season.
We love him at Rovers, and IF (the big if!) he signed for you so would you. Until he plays for your club you don't realise WHY he is so important.
It's not going to happen though is it, Sparky will not want him to go, and nor will Sav want to leave.

Maybe it's just speculation in the press, I for one hope it's true would love to see him at the JJB all season, we need some battlers in the team to spark the others into action
worbo
good buy!!! really need his sort in the team not many around like him either
ajwb
Sorry guys but i dont think sav is gonna leave us. He is happy with us at rovers and im sure he will have a great rebound season
sasman
I'm with my man sasman here, you'll do well to get him. However, a bid of 3-4 million could tempt us (NEVER thought I would say this though!!!) but on the other hand with the takeover looking VERY good, we shouldn't be short of cash.

gets his haircut lol. well thats a great reason to move then isnt it lol. I hope too that it is not speculation he would be a great addition to your squad

He's got lovely hair, thats the main thing
Johnny Kipper
Now that would be a great bit of business by Wigan!

Stick to playing rugby it's the only way you can get any fans inside that ground!!!!! Not big enough for the PL.

Has he signed yet? in my opinion Savage is one of the unluckiest footballers ever, when it comes to being attacked by the ball or peoples elbows lol. Have you seen the SoccerAm clip, where he gets hit loads with great sound effects its hilarious
