Preston to Wigan for Nash

Carlo Nash became Chris Hutchings 5th signing as Latics manager

The Preston goalkeeper joined the JJB set up for a fee reported to be in the region of 300,000.

The signing of Nash, who was on loan at the Latics last season, ends speculation linking Roy Carroll with a return to the club.

Bolton born Carlo is a giant of a keeper at 6`5`` and started his playing career at Cltheroe.

He was signed by Crystal Palace before moving on to Stockport and Manchester City.

Following on from City Nash signed for Middlesbrough and then onto Preston.

The 33 year old will provide some excellent cover for Chris Kirkland and Mike Pollitt between the Latics sticks.

Do you think Nash is a good signing?
