Everton Star in Wigan Switch?

James Beatie could make a surprise move to Wigan Athletic in the next few weeks

Everton manager David Moyes is willing to let Beatie for £2 million and this as alerted Latics boss Chris Hutchings.

Being desperately short of firepower was one of the reasons for last seasons struggle at the JJB

Although Beatie`s not exactly set the world on fire whilst at Everton he does have some pedigree.

Whist at the south coast club he scored 76 goals in 235 appearances which led to £6 million move to Everton in January 2005.

He`s played 86 matches for the Toffee men scoring 15 times.

Would Beatie had fire power to the Latics forward line?

Not one for me, would rather see someone with pace and a better goal per game ratio. Oh we've already got Henri Camara, so why bother?
worbo
like to see him here very much!! good goal scorer and proven at least
ajwb
might prove a diamond, depends how much you end up spending. when on fire he looks great, most of the time at everton he's looked woeful!
The Fear
thats goin to be the thing ..its a gamble whatever
ajwb
You won't get him for 2 mil, Moyes has said he won't accept less than 4.

£2m? That's a hell of a loss on a proven goalscorer!
