Wigan Skipper sent to Coventry

Wigan Skipper sent to Coventry

Arjan DeZeeuw today signed for Championship club Coventry City for free

Arry, as he is known, was definitely a Wigan legend in his two spells at the Latics

He first joined the club on a 'Bosman` from Barnsley in the summer of 1999 and settled quickly in to his role as club captain, proving to be a leader both on and off the field.

He left to join Portsmouth in the summer of 2002 and established himself on the south coast just as he done in the North West

He rejoined Latics just before the start of the clubs first season in the Premiership in 2005, once again he showed what a professional he was by having an outstanding season

Arry was released at the end of last season following a spate of injuries which his 'old` body found hard to recover from

All at Vital Wigan wish king Arry all the best with his new club, he will do Coventry proud.
