Rangers agree fee with Wigan

The Wigan Evening Post reports that Rangers have agreed a fee of £2.2 million for Latics star Lee McCulloch

The Scottish club have had two bids rejected, but as we reported yesterday the two clubs were negotiating to find a price acceptable to both parties.

McCulloch, who signed for Wigan back in 2002 for £700,000 from Motherwell, will be delighted that he can get his dream move to the Ibrox club sorted

Super Lee has been a fantastic servant to the Latics and he will go with the best wishes of all at Vital Wigan

How good as McCulloch been for us?

daylight robbery.... 90% of fans dont want him near the club at that price, and most of them dont want to see him at the club at all. He will however get our full support.

When he gets a game hopefully, cant really see him budging DMB or Charlie Adam... which is why I think a lot of fans see this as a pointless transfer when theres a 20 year old steven naismith arguably just as good if not better than mculloch with the potential to be great yet we are offering 350k now and 350k next year...

Part of me hopes you are right. I wanted to see him at the club, just not at that price.

The action(?) from yesterday's game at the DW Stadium between Wigan Athletic and Nottingham Forest which ended goalless:

Report - Latics 0 Forest 0 - What A Shocker

Thirteen games to save our Championship status, first up a home game against Nottingham Forest who are on a shocking run of form, conceded 10 goals in their last three matches, three of their first choice defenders missing through injury, they had lost 11 of their 16 away games this season with a -16 goal difference on the road and sat just six points above us in the table, surely a game that we would set out to win.

Checking the team selection I felt slightly optimistic but slightly conf
