Vital Wigan are currently looking for three new people to join the team. Please see below for the current positions that are available.

Match Day Reporter - Someone to write pre and post game reports on all of Latics fixtures for the 2006/07 season. We are happy if someone can cover just the home games for the season if you only attend home games. Vital Wigan will supply stats and a template for you to work with.

News Reporter - We are currently looking for someone to help report all the latest news at the JJB. All work must be your own and non-political. Any work copied from another website will be deleted as this breaches various copyrights.

This Week At the Latics - We are looking for someone to write an opinion column every week rounding up the latest news at the JJB.

PLEASE NOTE: All roles on the site are voluntary. All work must be original and not copied from other websites.

If anyone is interested in any of the mentioned positions please email Wigan@vitalfootball.co.uk and we will get back to you within 24 hours unless otherwise stated.

You can do as much or as little as you like

As you read this message in the year 2036, much of Blackpool vs. Wigan '16 has passed into the annals of Latics lore. Scarcely has a single game of kickball received quite as much build-up - from the minute this fixture was announced to the moment match ref Stuart Attwell finally tootled on his tin whistle, talk of Bloomfield Road on 30 April was incessant.

And I expect it's been much the same since, with (admittedly failed) film scripts written and (admittedly shoddy) statues
