Valencia Stays at Wigan

As previously reported on Vital Wigan Antonio Valencia will extend his loan deal from Spanish club Villarreal for one more season

The Ecuadorian international is currently starring in the Copa America for his country

Chris Hutchings told the official website that he was delighted to get Antonio back for another season and said he felt that Valencia would 'step up a gear` this coming season.

Valencia`s pace and quality will cause opposition sides many problems once the new campaign gets underway and he adds another dimension to the Latics attack.

Valencia is a good option for the Latics and I for one am happy that he's staying put
