Brazil 1-0 Ecuador

Brazil beat Ecuador by a single goal

It was enough to see them through to the quarter-finals of the Copa America and send home Antonio Valencia and his team mates

A 55th minute Robinho penalty did the damage to Ecuador, who finish bottom of their group without a single point.

This does not tell the whole story as Valencia can count himself unlucky to be jetting off to join his Wigan Athletic club mates for pre season training

Ecuador, with a bit of luck, could have won all three of their matches in Venezuela and should have progressed to the next round

Valencia will have to put the disappointment behind him as he prepares for the new season at the JJB

Did you see any of Ecuador`s games?
