Wigan Athletic Koumas Signs

Jason Koumas finally signed on the dotted line at the JJB today

The Wales international midfielder put pen to paper on a four year deal that could see former club West Brom receiving up to 5.3 million.

Koumas said he was delighted to be joining Hutch and his team and was looking forward to the new season.

Jason Koumas` transfer also spells good news for one of his former employers

With Koumas signing for the Latics Tranmere Rovers can expect a cash windfall due to a sell on clause when he transferred to West Brom from the Prenton Park club

Hutch said that the club had pushed the boat out financially to recruit Jason Koumas

Latics beat off interest from Aston Villa, Everton, Fulham and Middlesbrough to his signature it seems that the Latics manager is capable of attracting quality players to the JJB

Koumas takes the signings to six so far this summer as Wigan rebuild following last season's scrape with relegation
